In 2004, PEMC paid more than $12 million in taxes. <br />❑ In 2004, PEMC supported $15.4 million in charity care and community <br />outreach programs to the community. Historically, these dollars have increased <br />from year to year. <br />❑ PEMC is a community provider that cares for all types of patients including <br />Medicare and Medicaid. In 2004, the uncompensated dollar amount to PEMC <br />was more than $11.6 million. Historically, these dollars have increased from <br />year to year. <br />❑ Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic was established in 2004 to provide basic <br />medical care for people in our community who have difficulty gaining access to <br />healthcare. Over 5,100 visits in 2004. <br />
