Exhibit A <br /> Scope of Work <br /> Effluent Transfer Project <br /> South Effluent Pump Station and Crosstown Pipeline <br /> Phase 5 — Additional Services <br /> Background <br /> Phase 1 of the Project included the design definition for the pump station and pipeline,Phase 2 <br /> included the final design services and the bidding services, and Phase 3 included construction <br /> services support. Phase 4 included design and construction services associated with repair of <br /> the existing portion of the Crosstown Pipeline. <br /> Phases 1 through 4 were initiated under separate contracts. <br /> Phase 5 consists of follow-on work associated with completion of the South Effluent Pump Station and <br /> repair of the lining in the existing portion of the Crosstown Pipeline. <br /> Tasks for Phase 5 <br /> Task 1. Assistance with Testing and Startup <br /> CH2M HILL will assist City staff with programming of the pump station operation system, <br /> responding to questions related to the pump units, and cooperative testing of the cathodic protection <br /> system with Puget Sound Energy, <br /> Task 2. Staff Training for Operation of the Pump Station <br /> CH2M HILL will provide two training sessions for City staff regarding operation of the pump station. <br /> The sessions will be held at the Water Pollution Control Facility. <br /> Task 3. Assistance with Preparation of the Record Drawings <br /> The construction contractors will redline a set of drawings for use in preparing the record drawings. <br /> City inspection staff will review and approve the redline drawings prior to their conversion to record <br /> drawings. CH2M HILL will assist the City by modifying the electronic version of the drawings to <br /> include the changes during construction based on the redline markups. <br /> Task 4. Preparation of an Engineering Report <br /> CH2M HILL will prepare an Engineering Report in which the procedures and findings of the existing <br /> watermain evaluation will be summarized. Based on an analysis of the data collected, a <br /> recommendation will be made as to the suitability of the pipe for use in the Pumped Effluent System. <br /> An estimate of the expected life of the existing 40-inch diameter steel pipe will be made in this report. <br /> 1 4 1t <br />
