This project includes <br /> installation of several manholes along an existing sewer main; construction of a new forcemain between Lift <br /> Station 36 and SR 527; and minor modifications at Lift Station 36. The new forcemain will connect to a <br /> forcemain installed with the SR 527 Roadway Improvement Project. <br /> Ten bids were received at the bid opening on January 24, 2006 and RL Alia Company was the lowest <br /> responsive bidder with a bid of$395,054.22. <br /> Previously approved expenditures for this project include$79,700 for engineering design services and $2,000 <br /> for bid advertisement expenses. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award the Lift Station 36 Modifications contract to the lowest responsive bidder, RL Alia Company, in the <br /> amount of$395,054.22 and authorize the Mayor to sign the contract with RL Alia Company. <br /> 2I <br />
