eP <br /> RESOLUTION No. 7083 `TT <br /> Resolution for Expenditure of 2017 Human Needs Grant Funding <br /> WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs <br /> programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, $325,500 is included in the 2017 budget for this purpose; and <br /> WHEREAS, and additional $108,500 is included in the 2017 budget to support the <br /> Everett Streets Initiative efforts/Safe Street Program; and <br /> WHEREAS,there exists in the community a call for funds to supplement human needs <br /> programs; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council adopted priorities for Human Needs funding on November <br /> 30, 2016 and <br /> WHEREAS, The Human Needs Committee supports funding services as necessary for <br /> achieving the goals of the Everett Streets Initiative; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 25, 2017, the Human Needs Advisory Committee, formed to <br /> make annual recommendations to the City Council for allocation of these funds, has voted to <br /> recommend funding as listed below; and <br /> WHEREAS, A special call for Human Needs Grant application for qualified agencies to <br /> specifically provide Case Management Services to CHART individuals participating in the City's <br /> Safe Streets Housing First Scattered Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Human Needs Advisory Committee deferred and supports the specific <br /> funding recommendation for the Case Management grant to the CHART Leadership Group; and <br /> WHEREAS, The CHART Leadership Group voted to recommend the Case Management <br /> Grant as listed below; <br /> Agency 2017 <br /> 1. American Red Cross: Disaster Relief for Everett Residents $5,000 <br /> 2. Arc of Snohomish County: Counseling and Guidance, Emergency $26 000 <br /> Housing - Shelter and Food, Health Services ' <br /> 3. Arts Council of Snohomish County: Art Alternatives Program $3,000 <br /> 4. Bridgeways: Permanent Housing—Emerald Apartments $12,000 <br /> 5. Camp Fire Snohomish County: Mega Club $3,000 <br /> 6. Catholic Community Services: Volunteer Chore Services, Family and $12,500 <br />
