• <br /> "eoloive0,4 <br /> / , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5058 <br /> A Resolution by the Everett City Council placing the <br /> Blackman House <br /> 2208 Rucker Avenue <br /> on the <br /> Everett Register of Historic Places. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) authorizing the Everett <br /> Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for placement on the Everett Register of <br /> Historic Places and to recommend to City Council that properties be placed on the Everett Register. <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of the Blackman House_requested the Everett Historical Commission to <br /> consider the House for inclusion in the Everett Register of Historic Places. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request and at a public hearing determined <br /> that the Blackman House meets the Everett Register Criteria: <br /> • Embodies distinctive architectural characteristics of a type, period and style of construction. <br /> • Exemplifies special elements of the city's cultural, economic and architectural history. <br /> • Is associated with the lives of persons significant to local history. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission found the renovation and restoration work <br /> accomplished by the owners to be consistent with the Secretery of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation <br /> and Maintenance of Historic Properties. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 3. The Everett City Council concurs with the Everett Historical Commission recommendation to <br /> place the Blackman House on the Everett Register of Historical Places. <br /> 4.
