,4•10/ /i-mmaa <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5032 <br /> A resolution for waiving the public bidding requirements and for the sole source purchase from <br /> the Davis Process Division of U.S. Filter, Inc. of a continuing supply of the odor and corrosion <br /> control chemical, Bioxide. <br /> Whereas, pilot projects at Lift Station #24, #1 and the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility <br /> headworks for the purpose of sewer odor and corrosion control were successful; and <br /> Whereas, Davis Process Division of U.S. Filter, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of <br /> the proprietary chemical, Bioxide, which reduces sulfide compounded in sewage, when used in <br /> accordance with a patented treatment process held by Davis Process Division of U.S. Filter, Inc.; <br /> and <br /> Whereas, the Bioxide odor control process has been successfully implemented at a number of <br /> other sewer lift stations, <br /> Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that the Purchasing <br /> Division of Everett is authorized to procure a continuing supply of the chemical Bioxide from <br /> the Davis Process Division of U.S. Filter, Inc. without the necessity of competitive bidding. <br /> —26 <br /> Council Person Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 4th day of April , 2001. <br /> a7,7,,D,o/r—...„-- 671/ <br /> Council President <br />
