• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5000 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Greens Fees for the City of Everett Municipal Golf <br /> Courses, Legion Memorial and Walter E. Hall for the years 2001, 2002, 2003,2004 and <br /> 2005, directing the deposit of Admission Tax to the revenue accounts of the Golf fund. <br /> WHEREAS,there is a periodic need to increase existing Golf Course Greens Fees to <br /> provide necessary funds for the continuation of Golf Course capital improvement projects <br /> and to provide additional revenues to offset the increasing costs of maintenance, <br /> management and operation; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council adopted the policy of the City that the Golf <br /> Courses be self supporting within their fee structures; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council wishes to continue the course improvements <br /> suggested in the Conceptual Master Plans, adopted May 1, 1996, for Legion Memorial <br /> and Walter E. Hall Golf Courses; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council desires to establish a five-year rate structure that <br /> provides a consistent, gradual rate increase schedule designed to provide sufficient <br /> income to finance the course improvement plans; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 23, 1997,the City Council approved a construction contract for <br /> the remodel of the Legion Golf Course in the amount of$4,708,360; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 25, 1998,the City Council approved a construction contract <br /> for the remodel of the Legion Pro Shop and Restaurant in the amount of$952,760; and <br /> WHEREAS, further rate increases are necessary to pay for the increased cost of the <br /> course remodel, the remodel of the pro shop/restaurant building, and the contract <br /> management of the pro shop services; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 <br />
