/4•04/ //M5 <br /> 11 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4996 <br /> A RESOLUTION HONORING THE MEMORY OF REPRESENTATIVE PAT SCOTT <br /> WHEREAS, Representative Pat Scott, an Everett resident for more than 30 years, dedicated her <br /> life to service; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pat worked for the City of Everett for 21 years beginning in 1979, first as an <br /> administrative secretary to the Everett Police Department, an administrative assistant to the Police Chief, <br /> and, since 1995, as a community relations officer for Everett Transit; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pat was first appointed to the Washington State Legislature in January 1984, and <br /> subsequently won her first election in November of 1984; and <br /> WHEREAS, 38th District voters enthusiastically confirmed their trust in her in nine subsequent <br /> reelections, the most recent in November of 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pat's particular legislative expertise included transportation, child protection, and <br /> criminal justice; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pat was respected as an even-handed, determined, bipartisan, kind-hearted and <br /> spirited public servant and lawmaker who served her constituents well. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT that: <br /> The City of Everett recognizes and honors the dedicated service and accomplishments of <br /> Representative Pat Scott on behalf of her city, her state, and the many citizens she represented in the <br /> 38th District who benefited from her wise counsel. <br /> Signed this 10th day of January 2001. 14,f t4 <br /> Edward D. ansen, Mayor <br /> Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this 10th day of <br /> Janu Day'. <br /> Simpson, Counci�nt <br /> v <br /> AL, <br /> , ; <br /> :�1' nd rso� C C.i nc.
