EE?ETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4954 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A Library Services and Technology Act Connectivity <br /> 2000 Plus grant application for the technology to provide enhanced Internet and <br /> database access for the residents of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, the Internet and online databases are becoming increasingly important as <br /> means of communication and dissemination of information. <br /> WHEREAS, Everett residents are using Internet resources and databases in increasing <br /> numbers. <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Everett to improve the opportunities its citizens <br /> have to access electronic resources. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that the <br /> City of Everett lends its full support and endorsement to the Library's application for <br /> grant funds under the Library Services and Technology Act(LSTA) Connectivity 2000 <br /> Plus, and the Mayor is authorized to execute all applications and grant contracts related <br /> thereto, and the execution of the grant itself, if, as, and when awarded. <br /> /11 <br /> t•uncilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 13th day of Sept. , 2000. <br /> QCouncil esident 1 <br />
