,IP•44 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4940 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the establishment of a special one way transit ticket for <br /> promotional purposes, expiration date October 31, 2000. <br /> WHEREAS, August 15, 2000 is Labor Solidarity Day and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett recognizes the important contribution its represented <br /> employees provide to the city and the community and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett offers a wide variety of transit accessible employment, <br /> shopping, entertainment,recreation and educational opportunities and, <br /> WHEREAS, ATU Local 883 desires to express its appreciation to the community for its <br /> continued support and, <br /> WHEREAS, ATU Local 883 is proud of the service it provides and wants to express its <br /> appreciation to the community in a tangible way, reflective of the service and, <br /> WHEREAS, ATU Local 883 agrees to reimburse the City of Everett, Everett Transit the <br /> stated average fare per boarding for each special ticket redeemed in the fare box and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett recognizes that special promotional opportunities may <br /> introduce new customers to Everett Transit, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT to declare that a special one way trip ticket be established for distribution by <br /> ATU Local 883 to visitors of the hosted information booth at the Aquasox game on August 15, <br /> 2000.
