,?6/%f=am <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4938 <br /> A RESOLUTION requesting that the Planning Commission review the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and amend the Land Use Map designation for an area of <br /> the Airport Road annexation which is currently Single Family in the <br /> Snohomish County Comprehensive Plan <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with citizens/property owners and be <br /> responsive to their concerns; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has worked with Snohomish County on the Airport Road <br /> annexation in a cooperative and constructive manner; and <br /> WHEREAS, the voters of the Airport Road annexation area approved the annexation with a <br /> 56%positive vote; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council, based on testimony from citizens at the public hearing on <br /> July 26, 2000, asks the Everett Planning Commission to review and make a recommendation in <br /> regards to the Comprehensive Plan designation and zoning for area 9 on the attached Map. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL: <br /> 1. Requests the Everett Planning Commission review the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> designation and zoning for area 9 in Exhibit A during the annual 2000 Comprehensive <br /> Plan update. <br /> 2. Area 9 on the attached Map Exhibit A will be given the interim zoning of R-S while the <br /> Everett Planning Commission reviews the Comprehensive Plan Map for the area in <br /> response to the residents and property owners wishing to have the zoning remain single <br /> family. <br /> 3. The Everett City Council hereby asks the Mayor to direct City of Everett staff to take <br /> appropriate actions to implement this request. <br />
