Mitigation funds came from Kimberly Clark and the Port of Everett for <br /> phase one construction. Phase two will include the completion of the path system improved ADA <br /> accessibility, installation of an irrigation system, creation of native plan areas, development of picnic areas <br /> including tables and benches, lighting and interpretive signage. The Northwest neighborhood participated in <br /> planning meetings and design charettes. A third phase of the work to follow will be to connect the park to <br /> the waterfront. The City has submitted a grant for study and design of the connection to the waterfront from <br /> Bayside that is expected to be awarded in 2006. The study and design will be followed by pursuing a grant <br /> for construction. <br /> This project is for site development, irrigation, lighting and amenities. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt the proposed ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled "Bayside Park Phase 2 <br /> Improvements Project", Fund 354, Program 031. <br /> 13 <br />
