Mitigation funds came from Kimberly Clark and the Port of Everett for phase one construction. Phase two will include the completion of the path system improved ADA accessibility, installation of an irrigation system, creation of native plan areas, development of picnic areas including tables and benches, lighting and interpretive signage. The Northwest neighborhood participated in planning meetings and design charettes. A third phase of the work to follow will be to connect the park to the waterfront. The City has submitted a grant for study and design of the connection to the waterfront from Bayside that is expected to be awarded in 2006. The study and design will be followed by pursuing a grant for construction. This project is for site development, irrigation, lighting and amenities.
