7 Planning Commission Minutes February 7, 2006 Approved Acting Chairman, CJ Ebert, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Other Commissioners attending were Earl Dutton, Michelle Trautman, Si Newland, Gene Dvornick, and David Simpson. Commissioner not in attendance: Clair Olivers and Carol Lorioux Loup City staff members present were Allan Giffen, Dave Koenig, Bob Larsen, Jim Hanson, and Kathy Davis of the Planning Department. Planning Commission Meeting Minutes, January 17, 2006 Motion: Commissioner Dvornick made a motion to approve the January 17, 2006 minutes. Commissioner Newland seconded the motion. Vote: Commissioner Simpson, yes; Commissioner Dvornick, yes; Commissioner Newland, yes; Acting Chairman Ebert, yes; Commissioner Dutton, yes; and Michelle Trautman, abstain. Motion Carried. Item #1: Review Proposed Revision to Building Elevations for the Joe Zlab Multiple Family Project in the 2600 Block of Rockefeller Avenue Allan Giffen, Planning Director, stated that the 2004 Comprehensive Plan docket cycle included a rezone request from Joe Zlab for property in the 2600 block of Rockefeller Avenue. He referred to a concept drawing on the screen that was included in the previously approved development agreement for the project. At the time, the Commission and Council were concerned about the quality of development and wanted to make sure that the graphics presented at the time were constructed. In the development agreement, language was included that stated that any significant changes in the building elevations would have to go back to Planning Commission and City Council. He referred to another graphic which demonstrated the current proposal and briefly explained some of the differences between the two proposals. Commissioner Simpson asked Mr. Giffen if the number of required parking stalls would change as a result of the proposed revision. Mr. Giffen stated that the proposed parking met City parking regulations. f6
