Acceptance of the 10%petition by City Council will allow the District to receive and sign <br /> the 75%petition. City Council will be asked to decide whether the Council will: (1) approve the gathering of <br /> the necessary petition signature representing 75% assessed valuation (in the case of the School District the <br /> signature will represent 100% of valuation) of property found within the annexation boundaries, as depicted <br /> upon the attached map, (2) geographically modify the proposed annexation area, (3) require the adoption of a <br /> comprehensive plan for the area proposed for annexation, and (4) require the assumption of existing City <br /> indebtedness by the District of property within the proposed annexation area. The 10%petition and Notice <br /> of Intent is provided to Council separately. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Approve a resolution accepting the 10% <br /> petition and Notice of Intent submitted by the Everett School District for the Silver Lake Elementary School <br /> Annexation and authorizing the District to submit the 75%petition for annexation. <br /> 1 <br />
