6 <br /> Resolution No. <br /> A Resolution accepting the 10 percent petition <br /> and authorizing submittal of the 75 percent petition <br /> for the Everett School District <br /> Monroe Elementary School Annexation <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has received a 10 percent petition and Notice of <br /> Intent to Annex meeting the requirements of RCW 35.13.125, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with the Everett School <br /> District when it requests that a school annexed into the City when appropriate, <br /> WHEREAS, the area proposed for annexation (see attached Exhibit "A") is <br /> within the Urban Growth Boundary established by Snohomish County, and <br /> WHEREAS, under State law, RCW 28A.335.110, school district property is <br /> annexed separate from other properties. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The City of Everett wishes to accept the 10 percent petition for the <br /> proposed annexation and authorize the signature collection for the 75% <br /> petition. <br /> 2. The City of Everett will require the simultaneous implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation by adoption of the implementing zoning <br /> for the annexation area. <br /> 3.
