Mr. Allan Giffen 3
April 3, 2006
Page 2
Mr. Allan Giffen
City of Everett Planning and
Community Development
2930 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 8A
Everett,WA 98201
April 3, 2006
Dear Mr. Giffen
This letter addresses questions about exterior materials for the Rockefeller Avenue
condominium project located at 2611 —2619 Rockefeller Avenue. The wording in this
letter is intended for incorporation into a revised developers agreement between
Rockefeller Avenue LLC and the City of Everett.
• The exterior building sheathing will be horizontal lap siding prevalent in the
neighborhood. The siding will be made of a painted wood or cementations
product (not vinyl).
• The balcony railings will be made of metal (not vinyl).
• The windows will be quality operable windows with painted trim.
• The front planters, ADA ramp, front steps, and garage walls will be exposed
concrete which may be painted, stained, or left grey as best fits the aesthetic
design of the project at the specific location.
• The roofing material is to be a dark charcoal colored 40-year composition shingle
roof. This roofing material will also be used at the side roofs over the covered
parking.
• The grillwork on the sides of the covered parking will be metallic and will be
intended to blend with the landscape buffer blocking it from view.
• The building's north elevation will be symmetrical with the south elevation.
With regards to maintenance of the north and south sides of the building structure,
contractors will use practices and equipment common to their trades. Access to the
exterior walls will be by way of ladders, high-lift equipment, scaffolds (including tower
scaffolds), and drops on boson's chairs.
19
