During an inspection
yesterday, I found that you have made considerable progress on the removal of thc
downed branches and limbs from the slope. Pollowing the completion of tle cleanup, the
next steps are to stabilize the slope and replant it with trees and other rypcs of native
vegetatian.
The rewmmended method of stabilizing the slope for the short term, for the next 30 to 45
days, is to have the slopc hydro-seeded. This is only an interim solution, but it should
keethe banl:stable for autumn rains. Once the grasses have become established, in 3-4
weeks, the slope should be planted with native trees and plants.
Liz Greenhagen, the City's Enviromnental Planncr, should be contacted as to the number,
size, type and species to pla:t on the disturbed areas of the slope. She can be contacted at
(425) 257-8731.
If you hnve any questions about his letter, please call me at (425) 257-8680.
