The Utilities Department wishes to amend the Professional Services Agreement for additional tasks which were not included in the original scope. These necessary additional services include support during the assessment of an on-site generation alternative, changes in design of the facility desired by the Department, and additional support for the project during the construction phase for an additional amount of$116,070. In the original contract we have been authorized to spend $348,168. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Brown & Caldwell to perform additional engineering services to design the new disinfection facility and provide assistance during bidding and construction activities in the amount of$116,070. 6
