The Utilities Department <br /> wishes to amend the Professional Services Agreement for additional tasks which were not included in the <br /> original scope. These necessary additional services include support during the assessment of an on-site <br /> generation alternative, changes in design of the facility desired by the Department, and additional support for <br /> the project during the construction phase for an additional amount of$116,070. In the original contract we <br /> have been authorized to spend $348,168. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Brown & <br /> Caldwell to perform additional engineering services to design the new disinfection facility and provide <br /> assistance during bidding and construction activities in the amount of$116,070. <br /> 6 <br />
