's TP-91112-A, MS-8223 Robicon W/0' s 45707, 45706 Dear Mr. Copeland: In re�ly to your letter of April 24, 1984 , regarding a laboratory approved testing label on the variable frequency drives supplied to the City of Everett Tdastewater Treatment Facilities , to the best of Robicon's knowledge and a ' thorough investigation of any laboratory testing for this equipment, at the time of bidding there were no testing laboratories offering a listing of this type of equipment. - Further, at the time of shipment of this equipment in December 1983, there were no other variable frequency drives which had a listing with a testing laboratory. Robicon builds their equipment to the National Electric Code , NEMA and OSHA requirements. Robicon uses UL and CSA listed equipment wherever applicable and when such listed equipment is available. Robicon designs and builds their equipment to very detailed specification provided by a consulting engineer. This equip- ment is one of a kind, not a standard product. Testing laboratories approve and list standard manufactured products , not one of a kind units . Any changes made to standard products will void the approval and require a new application and testing. A manufacturer of this specialty type equipment cannot be expected to have a testing laboratory test and approve every project.
