The Housing Inspection Division was asked to comnent on the feasioility of using the structure at 2730 Pine Stre�as a Druo Abuse Clinic. Subsequently an� inspection was made i company with the Fire Marshal and the intrested party. ht that time the intrested party was informed that although the structure was in adequate condition to use as an apartment� it would have to meet the requireme�ts of the Inspection Division as a change of occupancy was involved. They were told to contact John Farrens. As the Inspection Division was looking at the structure under a differe��t set of rule= there were many more defects noted. The Drug Abuse people we� e made aware that this could happen but evidently they failed to fully un— derstand that chanpe of occupany insper{ions are much more restrictive. Usually the Housing Inspection Division does not get involved in these rrx3tters� but as we felt it was for a good cause� we tried to help out. In the future� all requests for inspections of this nature� that require an approval from the Inspection Division� will be routed direcfly to John F�rrens so that the structures will be in<pected to o�e code onlv.
