Construc[ion is reqvesting tha[ they be allowed to leave their sign in its existing location, which is in the City's_Right-of-Way. The easterly exposure for the sign �is currently blocked by a large cedar tree. �On 12-3-kil, in a conversation with the Pro�ect Superintendent, the tree was discussed, and we were told the Ho[el planned to remove the [ree. The Superintendenk was given notice that the tree was City property and was not to be removed without writ[en permission from the City. Voth Bros. indicate that moving the sign would dimish it's effectiveness. Sy the attached sketch, it can be seen that visibility would be considerably improved if the sign was relocated in onto private property and away from the tree: It also should be noted that the Ci,ty also has a 12” D.I. water main behind the sidewalk along the south side of Pacific Avenue which is now within approximately ' 3 feet of tlte sign base. � RECOMMENDATION: � I[ is recommended that the request Co�leave the sign in the Public Right-of-H'ay , be denied and Voth Brothers Construction be informed that the sign be relocated to a location on [heir property. � _,
