Rudden: In reference to the aUove stated project we have an item of mutual concern. As you are acaare we cuere required to add smoke stops at all labeled doors . This is according to code and �aas completed prior to temporary occupancy. Consequently, the smoke stop will not compress sufficiently to allow these doors to properly latch. This creates a problem to the fire inte�?rity of the building. It is our opinion that once the doors are under constant use, the smoke stop will compress allowin� the door to latch. Nowever, in the inl-erest of the fire integrity of the Uuilding and guest security we are proceeding to c�rrect the problem immediately. As you can see by the attached copy of our purchase order we have ordered one additional spring hinge ior each door. As insurance Chat the solution will be su�cessLul we have conducted an on–site test and all doors will latch properly once this is completed. Recause the additional hin�e �aas not ori�inally anticipated, delivery is no�a our problem. The quantity of hinges required must be manufactured.
