The signal planned/ <br /> considered at Pacific/Cedar will not serve hotel ped traffic nor provide <br /> gaps needed for hotel vehicle traffic. The Maple signal is lostate si�nal <br /> and will provide gaps in the increased traffic. The existing 9 <br /> does not have ped heads nor capability to install them. It was a 1965 <br /> "temporary scheduled for 1983-85 rebuild but obligation controls push the <br /> . 1983 rebuild to late BOs. WSDOT will turn it over to City for improvements. <br /> A signaM. �� P�,��Would not work with the signals at Cedar & Maple nor <br /> provide^�or��i-south travel at Hewitt/Pine. <br /> The Maple/intersection needs signal rebuild to provide for ped traffic <br /> and increased traffic of 200 room hotel with convention facilities. <br /> Current estimate of $60-70K were explained to Dave Batten and procedure <br /> of Everett Mall (Roebling) : � � <br /> � roved by TE <br /> 1) Roebling hired consultant designer app <br /> Z) TE furnished available records, etc for design � <br /> 3) TE approves design <br /> q) Roebling went for construction bids <br /> 5) TE approved contractor for signal expertise, etc. <br /> 6) City provides construction inspector <br /> Signal rebuilt at Pacific/Maple will be operated and maintained by the City <br /> and tied to Pacific Avenue signals and then future computer master. <br /> Sidewalks of 8 feet and intersection island landing for N-S peds wexe discussed. <br /> Sidewalk can terminate at EPL but paved ped path to C�� <br /> Voth will construct sidewalks & island with City inspection after design <br /> approved by City. <br /> must be constructed for ped traffic - similar to what Cascade shopping <br /> center constructed on 75th St. from �vergreen to Beverly Dlvd. <br /> O Pine will encourage/serve <br /> Shuttle bus service is being evaluated ���hich would linl: hotel patron/conventioners <br /> to CBD.
