As we
discussed in our phone conversation of March 24. 2005, the International Residential Code states
that all permits expire if the work authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a
period of 180 days after the work is commenced.
My understanding from our conversation is that work has begun on your project (foundation has
been laid) and your intent is to proceed with the work. Work under these permits will no longer
be authorized unless you demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of the work
that has occurred. An inspection verifying that work is progressing automatically extends the
permit for an additional 180 days.
Please respond within 10 days. If you allow the pennit to expire, you will need to pay additional
fees to re -instate it, and might even have to submit new plans for review. To schedule
inspections, or to discuss the status of your permit file, please call me at (425) 257-7261 between
9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or contact me by a -mail at mmeleod@ci.everett.wa.us.
Sincerely,
)14
Margaret McLeod
Building Division
sc,WNled LuItJ4kcn /kl1SC-4'LJ
N'r I-15 os.
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Eierett, WA 98201 • (425) 257.8200 • Fax (425) 257-8856 (113
