AWS <br />4. AISI - 1980 = <br />5. 1981 MBMA ` <br />Light gauge members shall be precision roll formed <br />or press broken high tensile steel having a minimum <br />yield stress of 50,000 PSI and a basic allowable de- <br />sign stress of 30.000 PSI. <br />Built-up sections and rigid frames sha11 be welded <br />plate sections having a minimum yield stress of <br />50,000 PSI and a basic allowable design stress of <br />30,000 PSI. <br />All said treated bolts shall conform to A-3?_5 and <br />have a maximum allowable stress in shear of 2•1,000 <br />PSI and in tension of 44,000 PSI. Shear stress <br />shall be based on bearing type connection with threads <br />inc)uded in shear plane. <br />All roof and wall � <br />dipped galvanized steel5uniformbton�ASTMfspech�A446 <br />and not less than 26US gauge. <br />All metal trims shall be formed from minimum 26 <br />gauge galvanized steel. <br />
