It was unanimously resolved that the "yield" sign,
which had been placed on Railway Avenue, outbound, would be r.emoved and placed on
the Scott Riverside road outbound, in order to give the majority traffic flow on
Railvay Avenue the right-of-way.
Also, the City of Everett agreed to initiate the paintinq of a center line down
Railway Avenue, to help separate two-way traffic. Also, to avoid further right-
of-way cor.fusion, the center line on Scott Riverside road would be removed from
the railroad crossing abck to the existing "yield" sign.
It was also decided that you would contact Chapman Trucking Company and assi.st in
getting the salvaqe obstruction (loczted at the east end of Lhe property) removed
to allow adequate vision of oncoming traffic.
The factors of high brush growth, piled auto salvage, narrow corner width, Lvo-way
truck traffic, and uncontrolled vehicle speed have combined to make this corner
potentially dangerous.
Your assistance and cooperation in this maL•ter are sincerely appreciated.
P
Ronn P. 47ool1ey
Timberlands Safety h]anager
cc: Chapman Trucking Company
