SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM POLICY <br />The current �verett Municipal Code 13.08.010 identifies that the <br />property owner is responsible to repair and maintain the abutting <br />sidewalk. The street element of the Utility Division has been operating <br />under a policy which offers to residential and bt�siness property owners <br />assistance with repair or sidewalk replacement through a property owner <br />participation program. The program essentially offers the property owner <br />repairs, or replaccment of the sidewalk constructed with City labor and <br />equipment if the property owner contributes the cost of the concrete. <br />This program will repair or replace ll�ose sidewalks that posc safety <br />problems for residential or business properiy owncrs that request to <br />p�rticipate in the program. Low income senior or disabled residents that <br />conform to RCW 84.36.381, 383 and 74.18.020 may qualify for the <br />program at no cost. <br />'I'he replacement part of the program will prioritize the replacement <br />projects. The list �vill be readjusted as needed to prioritize ]ist.
