The Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by permit is not commenced within 160 days from the date such permit is issued, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspanded or r.bandoned at an}• time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. As the permit holder, it is your responsibility to call for all required inspections while work is in proqress and to call for final inspection when..the work is comi�leted and prior to occupancy. As Your pezmit has already expired, the Code requires that a new permit must be obtained and additional fees paid before you can zesume work or call for final inspection. However, the City of Everett is at this time extending a one-time grace period to holders of recently expircl permits.
