The purpose of the <br /> reinspection was to check your progress in correcting the violations listed in <br /> the first inspection letter. The following items remain in need of your <br /> attention: , <br /> 1 . Restore the doors separating the floors. These doors must be self-closing <br /> and latchi�g. Failure to maintain these doors could result in mandatory <br /> external second exit from the upper floors. <br /> 2. Replace the missing fire extinguishers. We recommend the installation <br /> of a 1A-56-C extinguisher in each unit to prevent future loss. If this <br /> is done, a signed statement by the property owner must be filed with this <br /> � office. <br /> 3. Repair the sticking windows opening onto the emergency ladder. Handles <br /> would also be beneficial to the exiting process. <br /> 4. It appears as though apartment #12 was installed without benefit of permit. <br /> Contact the Building Department at the Everett City Hall at 3002 Wetmore <br /> so t��at they may verify the installation is to Code specifications. <br /> 5. All apartment doors exiting into the corridors must be of one hour construc- <br /> tion or the equivalent. <br /> 6. Information from previous inspection reports indicate that there may be <br /> problems with the separation of the furnace room. This room must be <br /> sheet rocked, seams taped, self-closing and latching one hour rated door, <br /> and fusible link hold open devices on combustible air openings. <br /> These premises shall be inspected in approximately 28 days. Please correct the <br /> violations as listed by that time. If no action is taken on these violations, <br /> the process that leads into legal action will begin.
