All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and /or Washington State Energy Code 1995 Edidon, unless <br /> stated otherwise. <br /> 1. Show minimum ceiling height in at least 50% of the room. The ceiling height <br /> for habitable rooms is a minimum of 7'-6". Show that ceiling height for <br /> bathrooms is a minimum of 7'-0" (310.6.1 UBC). <br /> 2. The roof pitch is called out as 2.5:12, but is shown on the elevation at less. <br /> The new roof would be higher than tne existing roof if it is built with the plate <br /> height as shown on the cross secdon. If the new dormer were brought down to <br /> the height of the existing roof at the ridge, the front wall would be <br /> approximately 5' tall. Fiease clarify which type of construcGon is conect <br /> (check window height in dormer addition). <br /> 3. Show how loads are carried through the existing swcture to the foundation. <br /> 4. New wall construction is required to be insulated to minimum R-19 which <br /> requires 2 x 6 framing cavides. Revise plans to show required construcdon. <br /> 5. Provide smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or azea giving <br /> access to each separate sleeping azea. Detectors shall be installed on each floor <br /> and in basements.
