Fill � <br /> in noles where the brick chimney has been removed, <br /> • building back overhang with matching trim to complete. <br /> Inetall new matchinq 1" thick fascip boards to the <br /> rafter tails of the main house upper roof, setting board <br /> in a vertical position in preparation for new qutters. <br /> Cover all stripped roof areas with 1/2" CDX plywood and <br /> fasten self-sealing three-tab fiberglasa shinqles (20 <br /> , year warranty. to be regiatered with the roofing <br /> manufacturer by the contractor) . Install metal flashing <br /> where all lowet coof areas butt into houae walls, <br /> sliding new flashinq up under ahingle siding. <br /> Wall repairs. Replace all broken and missing cedar <br /> shingle siding around the entire house exterior. This <br /> work shall also include shingling in complete the house <br /> rear walls where chimney has been removed and wall next <br /> to the back door. Stagger vextical joints to prevent <br /> water from entering the walls. Finish off the open wall <br /> area on the south side of the house where sinqle story <br /> meets the second story section. <br /> All new work in this item shall be performed in <br /> compliance with the requirements of the Oniform Building <br /> Code, 1985 edition. The new roofing shall also be <br /> installed in accordance with the Manufacturer's <br /> apecifications. Gutters Remove all existinq qutte�s and install 5" R <br /> style continuous aluminum gutters and downspouts to the <br /> house upper and lower roof areas including the front <br /> porch. Preparation for nea gutters called out in item <br /> #1 of spec. <br /> Complete � qutter installation by adding concrete . <br /> splashblocks to downspouts. Remove walls and <br /> rame n new 2' x 4 (16" spacing) walla throughout <br /> house areas as indicated in the attached drawinqs. Cut <br /> irt new openings and fill in existing openings all as <br /> indicated in the drawings. <br /> Dcyrrall. Install 1/2" gypsum wallboard to all ceilinqs <br /> and walls throughout the entire second floor areas, <br /> including the hallway and also running down the stairway <br /> and the first floor entry room and closet complete. <br /> Finish sheetrocking the kitchen, laundry room, and <br /> bathroom complete using existing drywall as much as <br /> possible, filling in the damaged areas. Patch damaged <br /> front bedroom walls and sheetrock in . new closet complete <br /> and close in old door openinq, both sides to match. <br /> Sheetroak the entire new rear bedroom (off kitchen) <br /> ceilinq and walls complete.
