WHEREAS, on March 16, 2005, E��erett City Council concurted with the <br /> rccommendation of the Hisroric:tl Commission with conditions (a) through (e) above; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 20, 2005„ Everett City Council approved changes to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan Land Use map and rezones to allow expansion of PEMC into Block <br /> 248 of the Donovan District by Ordinance No. 2850-05, �vhich includes Development <br /> Standards and Guidelines; and <br /> WH�I2EAS, the Everctt Municipal Code states in Section 296A60C(3)that thc decision <br /> conccrning the granting or denial of a certificate of appropriateness shall bc made by the <br /> mayor(or designee) on thc advice of the commission according to the standards <br /> est�blished in thc commission's rules; and <br /> �VHEREAS, the Mayor has desismated the City's Building Official to rcnder thc decision <br /> in Q�is matter; <br /> NO\��,THL'REFORG, the Building Oflicial approves a Cerlificate of.Appropriateness to <br /> rc-constnict, alter, restorc, rcmodel, rep�ir, or move the housc located at 1302 Oakes <br /> Avenue,with the following conditions: <br /> (a) PEMC shall be required to comply with the rccommcndations, cenditions and <br /> standards detailed in City Council Ordivancc No. 2850-OS and exhibits thereto, all of <br /> �vhich are incorporalcd hercin by refercnce. <br /> (U) PGAQC will makc cvery cffort lo avoid damagc to the Donovan houscs Ueing <br /> movcd off Block 245. <br /> (c) Thc houscs �vill Ue mo��cd and relocated follo�ving estaUlished standards for <br /> rclocation of historic propertics ���hich prescrve the historic integrity of the stnictures. <br /> (d) PE�1C�vill complete a thorough photognphic documentation of Block 24S and <br /> the strcetscape oCthc 1300 bluck of Oakes as tliey now exist. <br /> (c) An cxhibit or display depicting the history and cliaracteristics oCthe Donovan <br /> District �vill Uc included in ncw dc��clopmcnt on Block 245. <br /> (n Treatment of and repairs to the Itouses being moved will be consistent �vitl�the <br /> �'Vashinglon State Ad��isory Council's Standards fnr Reltabilitation and Maintenance <br /> ofllistoric Properlics. <br /> ( ,.G6Z. <br /> Tim Tyler <br /> City of Gvcrelt Building Oflicial <br /> Datc <br />
