WHEREAS, on March 16, 2005, Everett City Council concurred with the <br /> recommendation of the Historical Commission with conditions(a) through (e) above; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 20, 2005„ Everett City Council approved changes to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan Land Use map and rezones to allow eapansion of PEMC into Block <br /> 248 of the Donovan District by Ordinance No. 2850-05, �vhich includes Development <br /> SLvidards and Guidelines; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Municipal Code states in Section 2.96.060C(3) that thc decision <br /> concerning the granting or denial of a certificate of appropriateness sliall be madc by the <br /> mayor(or designee) on the advice of the conm�ission according to the standards <br /> establislied in the commission's rules; and <br /> WHEREAS, thc Mayor has designatcd the City's Building Official to render the decision <br /> in this m�tter; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Building Official appro��es a Certificatc of Appropriateness to <br /> re-constnict, alter, restore, remodcl, repair, or move thc house located at 1324 Oakes <br /> Avenue, �vith the following conditions: <br /> (a) PBMC shall be reyuired to comply�vith thc recommendations, conditions and <br /> standards detailed in City Council Ordinance No. 2850-OS and exhibits thereto, all of <br /> which are incorporated herein by reference. <br /> (U) PEMC�ti�ill make every effort to avoid damage to lhc Donovan houses being <br /> moved off Block 248. <br /> (c) The houses will be moved and relocated following established standards for <br /> relocation of hislonc properties which prescrve thc historic integriry of thc stn�ctures. <br /> (d) PEMC will complete a thorough pliotogr:iphic documentation of I31ock 248 and <br /> the strcetscape of thc 1300 block of Oakes as tliey no��� exist. <br /> (c) An csliiUit or display depicting the history and characteristics of the Donovan <br /> District �vill bc included in ne���de��elopment un Block 245. <br /> (� Trcatment of and repairs to ihe houses bcing moved �eill be consistent with the <br /> Wasltington State Ad��isory Council's Standards for Rehabilitation and Maintenancc <br /> oCHistoric Propertics. <br /> � <br /> ! i�G <br /> Tim Tyler <br /> City of Et�erett Building Official <br /> D;,c� f3 sv �� <br /> �I <br />
