The variance request is from Everett Municipal Code Section 19.18.040(B), side yard setback, which requires each building to be 5 feet from the side yard lot line. The current structure is nonconforming and is 16 inches from the side lot line. The applicant has added an enclosed walkway that is 5 inches from the side yard lot line, making the structure further non- conforming on the side yard setback.
