'' \
-
TO• Don {400ds , Planning Department `. ;? y'` ? ,+ . ,a
. - ,.:. ; ; „% : ,'
PRODt: htarian A1ain, Housing Inspector _4
Nuv y1p
DATE: NovemUer 8 , 1982 WwG
SUBJECT: 1927 Oakes - Covered iaalktiaay '
I made an inspection of the covered walkway at 1927 Oakes
'`' ` " ' today as a follow-up to the Board of Adjustment Order that
the enclosed walkway had to be removed prior to November 8 ,
1982 .
The walkway is no longer covered . Ilowever , there is a
six foot wall from grade level along the walk on the
north s:de of the structure .
Tlie wal.kway is 23 inches above grade level . I feel. it is
necessary to have a guardrail or fence alcng the walk=ay
for safety reasons . The wall which is at grade level.
would consti.tute a fence and is anywhere from 70 inches
to 72 inches in height. That would make it 47 inches tu
49 inches from the ] evel of the walktiaay up. The door frame
and door to the walkway is still intact . I don ' t know what
your feelings on this ivould be . I don' t see any problem
laith the door but if interpretation of tlie Board ' s Order was
to remove the frame and door , I voul.d like to suggest cutting
it down to level iaith tlie fence and calling it a gate .
T sliail aticait your response .
H F-
 r,,
H -

C
 '-
 "
r.
p F
Zy.` :'
r
H r
H G
K
O

 -'
r ,
:
c
r
. f
[.
c
r
