I have applied tor a permit. n d� The reason for changing my stairway outside is to obtain storage for my monthly delivery of 30 cases of peritineal � �� dialysis solution I.V. sets downstairs accessible to my bed- H O(y/� roonl. M6 daily dialysis at home costs $1 , 764 . 00 a month, plus $320. 00 a month for the doctor. My supplemental medicare insurance runs out next July 1991 , so I will have to pay appreoximately $550. 00 a month out of my pocket to stay alive. My father bought tliis house in 1962. My si�gle twin sister lived upstairs until 1966 with my parents. When �� they died in 1970, they willed the home to my sister Marie � � Jodock. I purchased it Lrom her in 1971 . Marie retired in June, 1990. She is moving again upstairs to help supplement my medical expenses. I have given her a lifetime lease. ��. I take great pride in having raised a large family, never �� been on any welfare roll nor asked or received any support. I would hate to have to apply for medicaid Lhis late in life when I know or try to make it on my own. e e Mr. Griffen, I hope you tind it in your jurisdiction to make a dispensation to issue me a permit to deviate city code to allow me to have some peace of mind.
