Owner remove existing furnace. <br /> Patch walls upstairs and down where chimney was <br /> removed. Feather to match adjacent surfaces. Tape and <br /> spackle for smooth wall finish. <br /> Install new ceiling tile on first floor ceiling where <br /> chimney and furnace flues were removed to match <br /> existing. <br /> Owner : reinstall all wood trim on upstairs interior. <br /> Install new 4 x 4 header above and stub wall �on west <br /> side of opening between kitchen and back porch area. <br /> s � SOO — <br /> 11. Floors Tear out existing flooring surfaces to <br /> subfloor in kitchen and , both bathrooms. install new <br /> •� 1/2" underlayment grade particle board. Install new <br /> vinyl sheet goods using manufacturer 's approved edge <br /> bars and adhesive. Material allowance for vinyl : $16 <br /> per sq. yd. retail. Owner choice of color and pattern. <br /> Remove gas furnace in upstairs hallway patch holes in <br /> floor with wood flooring to match existing, unfinished. <br /> Owner will carpet. Cap gas lines inside wall/floor <br /> surfaces. Install metal cover over flue opening and <br /> seal with clear silicone caulking. Patch floor <br /> downstairs by back door, remove threshold. <br /> s r90 <br /> 12. Insulation Install new attic insulation, loase fill <br /> ibe� rqlass, on horizontal portion of attic to R-30. <br /> Saffle at intersection of ceiling joists and rafters to <br /> maintain clearance for ventilation from soffits. <br /> Install roof jack vents at ridge to provide minimum 1.5 <br /> sq. ft. ventilation area. S��ce vents evenly across <br /> roof. Vents : aluminum with baked enamel finish. <br /> Install soffit vents. Vents . continuous galvanized <br /> wire mesh, 2" wide after trim (l .x 2 cedar) . <br /> Insulate all plumbing pipes in crawl space, tape joints <br /> and seams with duct tape. <br /> Install new R-il fiberglass batt insulation in all <br /> sidewalls upstairs, in kitchen, downstairs bathroom and <br /> rear porch area where missing. Foil or kraft backed to <br /> warm side. <br />
