They have been used by vagrants, hippie,, and kids sneaking <br />a cigarette. 771ey are fire traps, and hazards to the safety of snall children. <br />Many complaints have been made by the neighbors, to the Fire Marshall, the <br />Building Inspector, the Health Department, but in eight years, there has been <br />no action by the city goverment. Recently I was told, by the Building Inspectorls <br />officet that they could only take action if the buildings caught fire. Thenp <br />they could raze them. <br />I do not think we should have to wait for a fireq which could endanger the <br />rest of the neighborhood. Nor do I think we :3hould have to i�rait for a small <br />child to be molested by some drunk or pervert hanging about the place. <br />Either one of these things is likely to happeny unless the city of Everett <br />can fulfill its function of protecting its citizens from a clear and present <br />danger. <br />yours truly.. <br />Patricia H.
