Each
phase lets you know what, and when mquirements will be checked Uy the inspector. You provide information
and check the circles diat apply to your specific project. Because dte form is intended to cover most design
variations, many of die listed mquirements won't apply to a given project. Do not place marks in the tivo left
side shaded columns IaUeled "COMPLIANCE REQUIRED" and "INSPECTION APPROVED" or in the boxes
located in shaded areas (These are for Department use).
Responsibility for inforntation: AlUiouh designated Deparhnent staff inembers will help you with general
qucstions about complefin this form, it is ultimately your responsibility to provide detailed :nformation
aUout heating systems, glazing, insulation and other requested building specifications. Since these forms will
be evalualed for completeness and accuracy, you can avoid unnecessary permit delays by carefi:ily providing
all required information. Disregard itetns flat don't address your particular Uuilding or equipment.
Design Changes: Bc sum to get prior approval from the Deparhnent if you wish to make changas in your
project during construction.
Iiow thc forms will bc used: These forms will ultimately be used for all WSEC Eield inspections. When they
are returufl +iUi your pernut, relevant boxes under the "COIPLIANCB REQUIRED" column vill have been
dlecked by the [3uilding Department. This denotes which WSEC requirements apply to your project. The
inspector will inspect your dvellutg against these checked items, and when deemed acceptable, place a
second check in the "INSPECTION t\PPROVED" column.
Code Books: Por more requirement detail, refer to the 1997 Washington State Energy Code and the 1997
VentilaHon and Indoor Air Quality Code.
