RequesC <br />QTY OF EV[RETL CVCRETI. WASHINGTON <br />Mr. Buckley constructed illegally, on the property l.ine, an eight (8) foot <br />high covered walkway. He is asking permission t� have the covered walkway <br />remain. <br />II. Staff Discussion <br />A. Af[er visually viewing the covered �aalkway Che staf.f feels the walkway is <br />clearly an expancion of the house to the property line. This covered walk- <br />way could conceivably be enclosed as a❑ additional room in the [uture. <br />B. The eight (8) foot posts and the 26 inch fiberglass panels, covering the <br />top two (2) feet of thc roofline has the effect of crowdin� the neighUor <br />to the ilest. <br />C. It is difficult for the staff to endorse Chis improvemenC especially when: <br />1 <br />No permit cuas obtained. <br />The necessary screening could have Ueen accomplished Uy landscaping. <br />This would have given the desired privacy. <br />III. A compromise would suggest: <br />A. The roof be removed as it �oould then no longer be a scructure. <br />B. A variance be granted on fence height to all.oio sereening in Eront of the <br />window area. <br />
