This device must be installed
so that it prevents potential backPlow from the dialysis
manifold into other areas of the building.
The plumbing inspector is willing to issue a temporary
'1 plumbing permit (good for 30 daysj in order to allow you
time to determine the best solution for mecting the City's
1 ' backflow prevention requirements.
Zn order to insure a proper installation of thF r.equired RP
' device, our plumbing inspectors are available for
' consultation prior to your contractor making the
installation. Please contact them at 259-8800. lf you have
1 any trouble reachinq them, call me at the same number and I
' will make the arranqements.
I apologize for not resolvinq this matter sooner. However,
' we were tryinq to break new ground and were not able to
reach a consensus without taking the more conservative
approach. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in
this matter.
f; Sincerely,
' I+lfred R.
