The obvious attempt to use the Attic as additional Office or storage
space. Such use would be a flagrant violation of the UBC requirements
on building heights, exiting requirements.
2, We are very concerned that the required smoke control system meet all
requirements of I1BC Sec. 1715 on Atriums. It should be thoroughly tested
prtor to further occupatlon of the butlding.
3. We are very concerned about the avaflability of the two extertor stairways
to all the tenant spaces. At present the occupancy on the third floor does
appear to meet the requirements set out in Chapter 33.
4. We are concerned about accessibility of the basement parking area and
the sprinkler control room, and the standby power for the smoke control
system, if it exists. Our recommendation is that a Knox Box Fire Dept.
Access be requlred. R``
5. Referring to Item N1 . Inspector Burn em a letter saying that
the 'attic space' could be used only for storage was in error. It was
never intended that we would ever approve any use of the space in questton
other than building service. Period. !! ! ! !
Tha you,
cc: CMef McNall /
