Please provide complete construction documents detailing tfie duct shaft endosure. Please <br /> be advised that to obtain a minimum of 6 inches of clearance, a"noncornbustible surface" must <br /> be backed by noncombustible framing. The shaft, including tfie grease deanout doors, must <br /> have a fire-resistance rating of 1 hour in accordance with [BC 708 and IMC 506.3.11. Include <br /> dimensioning to show tfie relationship between the shaft and existing building elements. <br /> 2. The material listed as 54 shown on tfie cook line elevation is required to extend 18 inches in <br /> all directions from the hood opening. As shown, it does not extend 18"upward from d►e <br /> opening, IMC 507.9. <br /> 3. The plans should indude the requirement for a grease duct leakage test in accordance witli <br /> IMC 506.3.2.5. <br /> 4. The makeup air inWke appears to be within 10 feet of an exhaust.
