The exieting telephone room for the hospital ie located on the main floor level at gridlines G/2.2. The capacity of the existing eystem ie maximized requiring a new system. The conetruction documents provided a new telephone room in the basement level at gridlinee H.5/4. This location is within the new construction, and create0 a -cheduling problem becauae the entire lobby muet be conetructed prior to occupancy. To accelerate the traneition to the new eyetem, the owner approved locating thie room within the existing building by trading locations with the fecility office. In addition, this allows an earlier occupancy of the emergency department. Please reference the attached drawings (2 eets) of thie project revieion. I apologize for not communicating this revision eooner. In our conversation we also discuseed fire etopping of inechanical penetratione ae required by the 1991 uBC. Ae diecussed, the North Wing Expansion buildinq permit was iseued under the 1988 UBC. Please indicate if the requirements ��f the 1988 UBC will address your concerns.
