IF the concept is <br /> acceptable, the 10,000 square foot limit will ba reviewed. <br /> 4. The smoke separation of the eurg�ry and emergency <br /> departments ia acceptable. The requirement of the UBC <br /> double egress doors in accoa`dance with Section 1002(b) will <br /> be reviewed for its epplicalion to the function of Surgery <br /> and Emergency and its conflict with Chepter 3�. Double <br /> eqress doors conflict with operational and exitinq flowa. <br /> 5. The pressurization of the new elevator will be revieved by <br /> Tim in lieu of the elevator vestibulea. The exietinq <br /> elevators in the lobby area are considered unchanqed by this <br /> project. <br /> 6. The doora to the lerqa conference room in the Cefeteria area <br /> are to swing outward. Exitinq from the chapel is <br /> acceptable. <br /> 7. if a separation is required at the top of the esoalator, e <br /> water curtain may be instelled in lieu of the coiler shudder <br /> indicated. The two-story lobby will be reviewed to <br /> determ�ne if this aeparetion is required. <br /> e. The surgery waitinq room will not require two exita and e <br /> siqn statinq a maximum occupancy of 49 will be posted. <br /> 9. Egtess from the existinq required stairway is presently to <br /> the exterior and will be located within the new lobby. It <br /> was proposed that thie steirway be continued to the <br /> basement to exit thtough the Eour-hour wall into the lower <br /> parking level as a horizontel exit. Tim and Sam will review <br /> this alternative. <br /> 10. The existinq stair in the north tower will be maintained <br /> durinq construction and its egress bn the site shell be <br /> protected from overhead work by a temporary etructure at the <br /> eite of work.
