Based on a <br /> previous conversation With Sam Preston, we plan to provide <br /> a water curtain at the top vith the required saoke <br /> barriers in lieu of a coilinq door. A two-hour separation <br /> has also been indicated around the lobby space to isolate <br /> it froe the remainder of the buildinq. This is to provide <br /> a horizontal exit for tha north stairway of the south <br /> . toaer accordinq to Section 33oe. Thia will allow <br /> occupante to eqress from thia raquired exit throuqh the <br /> lobby and directly to the upper, open-air parkinq deck ae <br /> discuased at the June 5 meetinq. <br /> D. The four-hour aeparation is indicated with the color <br /> yellow and fsolates the parkinq qaraqe occupancy from the <br /> hospital buildinq accordinq to Table 5-B and Section 503. <br /> openinga shall be fire-protection rated for three hours. <br /> Pleese note Exception No. 1 in Section 501(d) , and inform <br /> us if ve are allowed to provide a three-hour seperation <br /> between the hospital buildinq and the parkinq garage. <br /> E. one-hour fire separations indicated in red have been <br /> provided for soiled linen, storaqe rooms, etc. , accordinq <br /> to Table lo-A. Two hundted feet of this are open full heiqht <br /> and tAe remaininq 122 feet are open above a 42-inch high <br /> concr�te guard rail. <br /> 8. The total aree of this lowar level is 30,713 squere feet. <br /> we raquest that the new city ordinance req�iirinq <br /> sprinkling of buildinqs exceeding 6,000 square feet be <br /> reviewed for this Type I noncombustible, concrete <br /> structure which i• an �open qaraqeN.
