Inspector
Dear Sir:
It was called to my attention by one of our local contractors
that the maintenance crew at the Providence Hospital has made
several new installations. The contractor told me his employees
found sever -I code violations.
I hnve not been making inspections at the hospitals because of
the institutional inspections by the State. I asked our City
Attorney if we were oblined to do any inspecting inasmuch ns the
State is taking care of these. It is his opinion we should
where the City has an inspector. He felt we could ask and
accept the help of the State on inspection of areas v:here we do
not have the proper testing equipment. He was definitely of the
opinion that, where our City ordinance requires a permit, it
should be taken out with the City.
The City Attorney has asked me to write you and ask if his in—
terpretation of the law is the same as the State.
Yours truly,
L.
