This letter is to inform you that the Everett Municipal Code requires that all property owners within 150 feet or adjacent to a public sanitary sewer shall connect their privaie sewer system to the pub;ic sewer after being notified by the Public Work� Department. The costs to connect, including construction and monthly sewer service charges, will bE bome by the property ovmer. A review of existing records indicates that your property is not connected to the pubiic sewer system. Our records also indicate that your property is �adjacent to, or is within 150 feet of an existing public sanitary sewer. You are being r.otified by this letter to connect to the public sewer. in the event you wish to delay connection to the sewer, the City Engineer may, on written request from the property owner, extend the time to connect to the pubiic sewer for a period of up to a maximum of ten (10) years; provided that, at the property owner's expense, the Snohomish Health �istrict certifies, in writing, to the Public VNorks Department that the existing sewage system is operational. The Snohomish Health District can be cortacted at (425� 339-5250; ask for the Wastewater Division. Everett Municipal Code further establishes that all properties within 150 feet of an available public sanitary sewer, who fail to connect after notice by the City, shall pay to the City an amount equal to the sewer service charges established for other users of like kind. All rates and charges so paid shall be credited toward the sewer connection charges applicable at such time as the property is connected.
