The <br /> Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by <br /> the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 <br /> days. If you wish to prevent the permits &om expiring without documentation of completion, <br /> you map: <br /> 1) Request inspections of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Please provide the permit number when requesting inspections or extensions. Please respond <br /> within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department for microfilming <br /> without final approval.
