Most wlculalions are aulomated. The spaces which display the results of calculations are not editable. Some adjustments to formatting have been made to taciiitate eledronic filling and wlculation of lhe fortns. Save Files Each time you open this file and start filling forms,yoa must save it under a new filename of your chnosing using File Save As. The original template file cannot be altered. You may also save your own versions of the fortns this way. Getting Each form has lwo pages(front and back). Both pages are available on screen when you click the tab for a tortn. Use the scroli bars to find the s�cond page. It is either to the right,below,or sometimes to the right and below the Around first page. Filling All project info and the date for all torms is entered once on"ENV-SUMi"and automatiwlly reproduced on the olher fortns.Always fill in ihe heading of ENV-SUM1,even if you will nol be using thet fortn. The other fortns have a Fields reminder to do this. Only fillable fields are accessible. If you lry to edit any other field,you'll gel an error message. You may use the TAB key to move to the next fillable field, If the TAB dcesn't take you where you want to go,use the mouse. Avoid excessively long tezt sirings when entering information. In some cases,text that extends beyond the available space will simply�at be seen. In most wses,the texl will wrap within the cell. This may force part of the fortn onto a new page To enter the date,use lhis format:mMddlyyyy. For ezample,you wouid enter fi/8/94 or 12/15I95. On MECH- MOT,horsepower(h�P)is displayed in frections,but may be entered any way. For example,7•1/2 may be entereA as"1.5"or as"7 7/2". Check boxes can be either blank,or checked•off with an"x"shown in the box. To toggle between cases,click th box with your mouse. Radio buttons (circles)are either flled or unfilled. Only one in a set may be filled. Drop-down lists have an arrow at lhe right side ot the space. Click the arrow with your mousa and select the appropriate option. One of lhe options is a blank. When a form has a space for notes or explanation,click anywhere in the space to edit. Your cursor will bewme a text editing insertion bar and you can edlt as with a word processor. PeISOt101- You can personalize the forms with your company name,address,phone,or any other informalion. This is done by editing the foater using File Page Setup Header/Footer. You can then save the file under a new template name 1ZlIlg and re-use it again. Adding Many tabies,such as for listing equipmenl types,have a certain number of lines for entering data. There may not always be enough lines for all the enlnes you need to make. With this electronic version,you can add addilional Lines and Iines to the table. Removing To add addilional lines where this fealure is available,click on the"+^button wilh your mouse. This button is lowled to ihe right of the sheet. If you can't see it,scroll ri9ht(or change the View Zoom setting to 83%). To remove lines ihat you have added,click on th�e'-"butlon with your mouse. You cannot remove lines that were not added;an error appears if you try. If you add addilional lines with ihis method,the pagination will usually be aHected. The fortns will be forced to carry addilional Iines over to other pages. Be sure to submit all pages to the plans examiner. Glazing The Glazing Area%shown on the ENV-SUTA fortn is automaliwlly calculated in tne electronic version from the Proposed areas on the corresponding ENV-UA fortn, If you use the Envelope Prescriptive Option,you still must E�I'ea enter the actual areas. As a shortcut in ihis case,you wn enter the vertical glazing,the overhead glazing and the opaque wall areas (including doors)as single numbers and leavc the rest of the ENV•UA fortn blank. Glazing Under ihe Envelope Component Pertormance option,the Target Area Adjustment Calculations are fully automatic, using information you enter for on your project type and your Proposed Amas on the ENV•UA form.
